It was a long, hard, sometimes discouraging journey, perhaps not unlike carrying a child to full term (my wife and kids might disagree a little!), but after five years of off-and-on work, the day of delivery finally came today. Late this afternoon, the UPS man delivered my personal copies of Confederate Cabinet Departments and Secretaries!
The book was not scheduled to be delivered to the printer until May 1, but apparently the Lord had different plans! It was available for sales from McFarland yesterday in both paperback and e-book versions.
Thank you to all of you who played a role in getting this work out, especially for the loads of encouragement you offered during the many times I was tempted to throw in the towel (and to those who didn’t discourage my work!).
